Hi, I’m Gui Skinner
I’ve been designing some stuff. Mostly products.
I’m a product designer and design engineer, working on growth. I’ve been at it for 16 years, and these days I also write the code, ship it, and look at the numbers to decide what’s next.
I like to work with nice people to solve people’s problems, those who use the product and those who run the business. May I help?
- +75%
- more enquiries
- from one listing-form redesign at TeachMe.To
- 40+
- experiments in the last year
- each one with the success metric agreed before launch, including the ones that lost
- 16 yrs
- designing products
- Motorola, VivaReal, Mercado Bitcoin’s first app, and now my own products
Well, I’ve done that
on some cool products
Seriously, take a look. These are the four most recent, with the real numbers, including where things didn’t go as planned. Older stuff is further down.

Faves
I redesigned the app’s Pro plan, onboarding and paywalls. Now we also work as a small venture studio, testing ideas with real people before building them.
- 20+ ideas stress-tested
- 7 weeks prototype to paid product

How I work
For years I handed off design files. These days I ship the product myself.
AI agents write a lot of the code these days. I’m still the one who talks to users, decides how things look and feel, picks the metric and says what goes live.
Figure out the actual problem behind the request.
Go through interviews, data and competitors much faster than I could alone.
Nothing gets built before the hypothesis is written down.

Things I don’t hand to AI
- Talking to usersI want to hear it from them myself.
- The design directionAgents can show me options. I pick one, and I set the rules.
- What we measureAgreed before launch, so nobody bends the numbers later.
- What goes liveEvery merge and every deploy goes through me.
